Morning Devotions

As I take a deep breath and sit on my deck

with my Bible and my God, I find joy.

Challenges make me feel

unable to make it to the next day.

Somehow God continues

to give me the grace and faith to do it.

The birds call to me.

They say “listen and follow a peaceful path.”

The skies speak to me.

They say “seek widely and be open.”

The grass advises me.

It says “step lightly and far. Find place.”

The flowers seem to say,

"find beauty."

The trees direct me.

They say “stand tall. Be firm. Know strength.”
