Christmas Beckons as Fall subsides
Acorns
tap dance on the neighbor’s tin roof
Leaves
of red and gold waltz against a blue sky
Autumn’s
dance contest is always a winner
Bon
fire smoke drifts through the air
Pumpkin
pie spice is everywhere
Autumn
scents create wondrous perfumery
Crows
caucus in the nearby field
Mocking
birds mimic the current hits
Autumn
jingles serenade waiting fans
Hope’s
lullaby gives comfort to loss
Faith’s
sonnet lends contentment to mourners
Autumn
concludes a season of grief

The beauty and blessings of autumn
Nothing satisfies me more than sitting on my deck with my Bible, my devotionals, my journal and a cup of coffee. This is heaven on earth.
Early light glistens on red maples and golden oaks.
Long autumn shadows dissect the green lawn in comforting patterns.
Cool breezes caress my fevered soul.
Grace comes at peaceful interludes like this morning.
Serenity is strong in quiet moments such as this.
Faith revives and hope grows when the body stills and the heart reboots.
Mercy is a gift when the spirit is at rest.

less is more-look at the little details
A colorful palette of leaves
Dance in my path.
Blue skies
Swirl on my canvas above my head.
Perhaps joy is close to my heart’s desire.
(the above image is a found painting, only 1 inch square-what is that you ask. simply smear left over paint on paper and then with a small view finder, frame or mat or just a sensitive eye, look for images....surprising what can be found.)
