How do you handle these situations?

I was in BAM to buy the new Art Journaling.

I knew someone was sitting in the chairs.

I heard, “How are you?”

I glanced around and said, “Good, how are you?”

It was a black man, blood shot eyes, which I thought alcohol or drugs.

He said, “trying to  get warm.”

Then, “ I homeless, haven’t eaten in three days.”

I asked, “do you have any family near?”

He said, “just my mom. She’s in a nursing home.”

I said, “I’m sorry.”

He repeated, “I haven’t ate in three days.”

I repeated, “I’m sorry.” And left.

I started to tell cashier but did not.

Left and found a feather in the parking lot.

Did I miss an opportunity to entertain and angel unaware?

thoughts of never again

never again will I get bad news about my parents
never again will I cringe at a certain phone number
never again will I worry over my parents' health
never again will I doubt they are happy
never again will I wonder what they need
never again will I wonder if I'm doing enough for them
never again will I feel life is unfair to them
never again will I be sad for their limited life
never again will I ask why they had to age

some never-agains are good

·         Enjoy the blessings of each day.
·         Have hot coffee in the warm sun on a chilly fall day.
·         Stare at the blue sky and marvel. Look straight up. God’s canopy is amazing.
·         Thank God often. (Write him a letter and leave it somewhere.)
·         Express God’s love in simple ways to those in need.
·         Worship God outdoors.
·         Forgive and accept forgiveness.
·         Read the scriptures and find God’s message for your life.
·         PRAY AND PRAY SOME MORE!
·         Expect miracles.
·         Smile at strangers. Especially  those who aren’t smiling.
·         Hug someone and feel a hug from God.
·         Give an unexpected gift for no occasion.
·         Use your super powers for good.
·         Create something from love and give it away.
·         Find life’s meaning in nature.
·         Make technology a sermon. (Send a text that you prayed for them or send them scripture or quote)

Angels oversee tough times

Can I still dream of things I’d like to do?

Can I still imagine wonderful things?

Can I still hope for perfect days?

Can I still pretend everything is awesome?

Can I still believe in happily ever after?

Can I still expect a good life?

Can I still hope for artistic goals to be achieved?

Can I still be happy?

Can I still strengthen myself in body, mind and spirit?

Can I still increase my faith?

Can I still have wishes fulfilled?

Can I still find calm and peace?

Can I still have prayers answered?

Can I still have reason to smile and laugh?

Can I still live my life?

Can I still enjoy and accept love?

Can I still be me?

With God’s grace, most definitely!

Day 266 Home and God and Angels

Home is my decompression chamber.
It is a place to release fears and troubles.
It is the place to unleash peace and faith.
Troubles and fears make us stronger.
Faith and peace sustain us.
Next time a challenge comes your way
take the leap of faith,
God's safety net will catch you..
When times are tough,
trust His angels to carry your through.

Day 204 BE CHRISTMAS!

Like Mary hold the purpose of Christ

in your soul and ponder its meaning for your life.

Like Joseph be faithful to the Son of God

and do what is right.

Like the innkeeper

find a place for Christ in your life.

Allow Him to reign.

Like the shepherds

follow a start till you find him and

worship him in reverence.

Like the Wise Men

go the distance to know Christ

and give Him your best.

Like the Angels

proclaim Christ to the world.

Day 68 random thoughts....

and sleep will not come AGAIN!
Why is sleep so evasive?
Can you be too tired to sleep?
My body begs for rest.
My mind screams for silence.
My soul pleads for hope.
My spirit hurts for expression.
My heart searches for meaning.
Psalm 19:14
"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to your sight
O Lord."
(but are they?)
"Rock of ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in thee."
(my quest)
the indwelling presence of God
from which no one and no thing
can separate me
I will stay on His path
following closely, hoping
in the dark He guides me still
though life is still littered
with debris from a storm long gone
I know the calm presence
of God and His angels
when and how much?
even when doubtful
I know He has not left me alone
all fears and worries melt
despite their nagging presence
God is still God and
all is right in His kingdom
staying within the righteous fold
I will survive
another day's battle will be fought and won
AND
life will proceed
