a calling

I have been working on a project for church. I had ideas I liked but could not execute. Then the I figured out a new way to proceed. I still was not pleased but pushed on. I started creating and was pleased but near finished it still did not seem quite right. When I woke this morning, I knew what to do and what was needed. There was no cross in the piece. The cross needed to be there to make it the rest understandable. I know it was God who gave me this missing piece. I have felt or knew that art and creativity is my gift or calling for sometime. This was proven loudly to me today. I will share the piece later on but I am sharing the above piece now since I feel creatively empowered and justified. Praise be to God for His many gifts.

letter from creativity

Cut words from cards and letters to make the message, use stencils and cut outs for back ground.
Add figure tracing from magazine or clip art. Use complimentary and analogous colors.
Remember to listen to that special message you created.

Journal Page Explorations

Finding yourself in journaling is a great way to figure out what you want, how you want to be, and how to get there. Start with an image or idea or word. Jump in with markers, paints, color stix (my personal fave) and your heart and creativity. Just unleash your soul and see where it takes you. You will feel better and most likely have some "Ah Ha" moments. Just do it!
