Glory Land

Dearest Daddy,

I bless your name for all you mean to me.
I want me on earth to value your plans always first.
Give me your love, mercy, forgiveness and bounty.
Save me from the evil one.
Make me pure.
I want to dwell with you now and forever.
Amen

today's devotion time

rest on purple blooms
flutter through green trees
breathe in blue skies
one with nature
listen for the Master's voice
feel His presence
trust His ways
one with God

there is power in forgiveness

Dear Lord
Help us go through life’s challenges, the ones that nearly break us and make us strong.
Give us your divine strength to keep us solid in our beliefs.
Guide us in our decisions and choices to keep us close no matter what happens.
Show us the power of our faith.
Help us understand forgiveness as a virtue.
We long to be in the center of you love and your will.
We strive to be your hands and voice in this hurting world.
We plead for understanding and surrendering to all you want us to be.
In Christ’s holy name,
Amen.

Forgiveness frees us from burdens we don’t even know we carry. (Upper Room)

Words are so amazing and can do so much.
They can drag us down.
They can lift us up.

Words are so important and needed.
They can confuse us.
They can shepherd us.

Words are so awesome and a real blessing
They can weaken us.
They can strengthen us.

Words are so meaningful (no pun intended) and essential.
They can misinform us.
They can teach us.

Words are so precious and valuable.
They can give us headaches.
They can give us relief.

Words are God’s gift to us all.

Nature's Home

My paradise is nature’s home on a mountain high or a beach wide.

My contentment is nature’s home in a forest deep or in a garden close.

My joy is nature’s home surrounded by majestic views or a chorus of natural sound.

My hope is nature’s home lulled by soft breezes and caressed by warm sunlight.

My peace is nature’s home comforted by its beauty, refreshed by its cleansing.

My paradise is nature’s home.

Observations in Nature

Ants travel in irregular patterns. Forward and back. Around in circles. Doubling back. Does God see us doing much the same? How foolish we are! We need to stay on one track--heavenward. Everything we say, do, believe and expect should be making a path to heaven's gate. It is the ultimate destination.

Frivolous activity lost spirit
Wasted lives unrelenting souls
Worrisome ways hard heads
Doubting hearts disbelieving pilgrims

No way to approach the life we are given.

Prayerful spirits understanding souls
Loving hearts forgiving minds
Purposeful tasks trusting ways
Faithful lives grateful beings

This makes for a great life, lived on the road to the Promised Land.

I don't do it all right. I'm not even sure it's a 50/50 split but I do attempt
re-dos and beg for mercy living to survive this heaven bound thing we call life.
Maybe one day I'll feel a bit of progress and continue on the road, a mile or two closer to that great reward-eternal life.

Since writing this a few days ago, I noticed another ant behavior. They don't like the heat. They travel in the shadow and the minute they feel the sun, they change directions back to the shade. We can also learn an important lesson from that. Stay out of the heat of Satan's influence and follow the cool leading of Christ's love.

Follow the way before you!

Having not been able to visit my precious mecca at Fernwood, walk the paths, find the peace and know it's beauty, I have been rediscovering it through my photos stored and images remembered in my soul. The words came to me while following my daily routine and chores today.
