Message for your journey!

Spring-like weather in late February lifts my spirits.
God’s joyful blessings strengthen my soul.
A loving family fills my heart.
Careful living supports my framework.
God’s word saturates my mind.
I will forever lift my praises to God.
My prayers will reach his heights.
He will hear and honor them.
Life will be recovered.

the journey to wellness continues

The birds sound so happy, content…God is right…they do not worry.

Are the skies blue and sad…no, blue is their crown of hope.

Is the grass green with envy? No, it’s green with vibrant life of new verve.

Are the trees weary with new growth to hold up? No, they are swelling with pride to hold homes for wildlife and shade for a host of nature lovers.

Daylight savings has begun. The sun is not as low in the sky as it was a week ago.

The temperatures are climbing.

A bright flush of growth appears on the land and hope returns.

Can I find that same hope in my life?

on a happier note: I will be published in an upcoming issue of Stampinton's Art Journaling! This came at a time when I really needed a boost!

how long

my journey is not easy.
i fear, worry, get angry and fail.
i rally, laugh, pretend, and return.
i repeat it all over again and again.
i weaken, tire, and nearly give up.
i pray, try,
 and start over.
i get up once more and do it
AGAIN and again and again!
but for how long?

your journey is your legacy

Finding my way
As through a dense fog
I will make it.
Going the path
Even in the dark
I will not be lost.
Believing the journey
Even when I want to run
I will stay the course.

Life often answers its own questions. By living daily with God we find our own way on dark paths and by enlightened ways. We always know that in all things God's means are for the perfect ending. The goal of living is heaven, both here and hereafter. If we live a godly life we get glimpses of heaven each day and when it's all said and done we get the ultimate gift, life everlasting!

Journeys and Destinations

Tired and foggy

She wanders into her studio.

A splash of paint and a scrap of paper later she finds a bit of peace.

Alone and weary she hits the button on the CD player. The low solemn chords of the cello reach her soul and she feels life begin to mellow.

Forlorn and lost

She settles on the deck, opening her journal, she pens a few phrases and her spirit swells.

(This was written just before learning of Mom's gall bladder. The pic is of her sun room before daybreak-where I met God each morning to fuel me for the day.)

Follow the way before you!

Having not been able to visit my precious mecca at Fernwood, walk the paths, find the peace and know it's beauty, I have been rediscovering it through my photos stored and images remembered in my soul. The words came to me while following my daily routine and chores today.

Day 61 Sacraments

A short night of sleep again
But managed to walk and start the day's journey.
Fatigue is still imminent.
Prayer and time are my sacrament.
Quiet solitude is my only hope.
When the way is hard it helps me cope.
Even in the midst of struggle
My body tries to resist and wriggle.
But my mind and spirit choose better
The memories of God's love letter,
"faith, hope and love abide"
And in that message I will forever hide.
