Nature's Home

My paradise is nature’s home on a mountain high or a beach wide.

My contentment is nature’s home in a forest deep or in a garden close.

My joy is nature’s home surrounded by majestic views or a chorus of natural sound.

My hope is nature’s home lulled by soft breezes and caressed by warm sunlight.

My peace is nature’s home comforted by its beauty, refreshed by its cleansing.

My paradise is nature’s home.

Home is where my soul is!

My hands reach for wisdom

But I only find more questions.

My heart reaches for compassion

But I only feel heartbreak.

My spirit reaches for hope

But I only know more frustration.

My soul reaches for joy.

But I only drown in sadness.

I will reach for God and

He will grab me and I will be comforted

Finding the wisdom, compassion, hope and joy I need.

Day 266 Home and God and Angels

Home is my decompression chamber.
It is a place to release fears and troubles.
It is the place to unleash peace and faith.
Troubles and fears make us stronger.
Faith and peace sustain us.
Next time a challenge comes your way
take the leap of faith,
God's safety net will catch you..
When times are tough,
trust His angels to carry your through.

Thoughts on Home

Today's Upper Room and Luke's story of the Prodigal Son discusses homecomings--of which Dad is so close to having. The writer refers to the "homesickness" and "longing" for home and God. Mom and I have certainly experienced this as well, maybe not to the degree or extent which Dad has in the past eighty one days but we sure know about longing for and missing home and routine.
Unfamiliar places
Lengthy absences
Holes in the family unit
Alone and lost feelings

The realization is that home is where God is and when you feel closest to your beloved family.
Home is a state of mind.
Home is where you find your heart.
Home is where you bare your soul.
Home is the place where God sits in your spirit.
Home is when you find peace and contentment in living.
