Hurricane Hugo bent our Poplar 30 years ago. Lightning struck it earlier this year. now Florence took the damaged part but we are grateful no one is hurt and we are safe and dry. Praying for all those in harms way!

Lord, your are awesome, unbelievably kind and divine. you have helped me through some of life's greatest tragedies and will get me through the rest. you have blessed me with more than I deserve, all that I need and most of what I want. you have answered all my prayers. You never leave me alone unless I walk away. I am unworthy but you honor me and help me be a better person. You have saved me, protected me and loved me even when I have ignored you. you have done the same for all my friends and family...all believers. you also care for the stranger. This morning the fresh air begs for an early autumn.

My spirit seeks a calmness.

My soul yearns for serenity.

My heart trembles with pure love.

I feel God’s hope.

All else pales in comparison.

 

Can this last?

Of course!

I must allow it.

I must focus on it.

I must believe it.

In and through God’s presence I will see it.

Even when life tries to disguise it.

 

Mom has been gone 10 months.

Dad, five years.

I miss them both but a day doesn’t pass I don’t honor them with a thought.

I think they are with me physically and eternally.

Grace is abundant in every situation. It is given freely but we must open our eyes and heart to it.

 

So I move forward in the light of God, leaving darkness behind. All things will work according to his great love for me/

 

Blessed in so many ways I can barely remember them all but I thank God daily for all that matters and release all that does not.

Direction--always choose UP

Life should not be a performance.

We should be able to live a life of truth, be the person we truly are and NOT have to put on airs or false personas. God made us whole and in his image and that is the person we should portray.

we are all a work in progress

 

God knows we are works in progress, but it isn’t an excuse. God knows we are human; he made us but we strive to be worthy. God knows we try but he also made all the characteristics deep within. Sometimes they try to reign superior. It’s a daily battle. Who wins us or God or our inner urges? It’s the human condition to fight. Fight to be holy and fight to be human. We want earthly treasures but a heavenly future; can we have both? Maybe with caution. Live right; do well; be grateful, benevolent, honest, and obedient to God’s commands. If good fortune blesses us, don’t allow it to rule and guide your every movement, thought and deed. Whatever your circumstances, follow God and what he expects of you and you will progress nicely.

Pray without ceasing the Bible tells us. I try to do this. I try to listen for his voice. I try to speak to him often. I try to thank him, praise him and thank him throughout the day. I know he listens. I know he answers. I know he loves to hear from me.
