a lesson in supplies

Why is it when you play at your art table and grab whatever is available you sometimes find a great design you should have used your best on? Best paper, best paint, best brush, and best intention. I've heard the tales of starving artists who paint with anything on anything and those who later became famous and their work was on cardboard. I've tried to save money on my art since I make so little in sales but I do believe it's time to take the advice of an early teacher. Use the best you can afford.
Meanwhile, this piece is on a recycled (used) piece of cheap copy paper. Maybe if I attach it to a better piece of paper?
