God knows we are works in progress, but it isn’t an excuse.
God knows we are human; he made us but we strive to be worthy. God knows we try
but he also made all the characteristics deep within. Sometimes they try to
reign superior. It’s a daily battle. Who wins us or God or our inner urges?
It’s the human condition to fight. Fight to be holy and fight to be human. We
want earthly treasures but a heavenly future; can we have both? Maybe with
caution. Live right; do well; be grateful, benevolent, honest, and obedient to
God’s commands. If good fortune blesses us, don’t allow it to rule and guide
your every movement, thought and deed. Whatever your circumstances, follow God
and what he expects of you and you will progress nicely.
